Position

Nurix Therapeutics seeks a motivated Research Associate to join the Analytical Development and Quality Control group. The Research Associate will operate and maintain lab equipment and instrumentation, conduct sample receipt/analysis/data reporting, and communicate analytical results internally.

This position is onsite in The Woodlands, Texas.

Key responsibilities

  • Execution of routine and non-routine chromatographic and solid state analysis to support chemical process development
  • Operation and maintenance of analytical instrumentation
  • Management of sample receipt, testing, and data reporting
  • Method development for analytical characterization of drug substances, raw materials, and synthetic intermediates
  • Execution of forced degradation and predictive stability studies
  • Preparation of data presentations and technical documents including data packages, testing certificates, analytical development reports, and stability reports
  • Collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
  • Management and organization of documentation and data
  • Ensuring compliance with internal SOPs and lab safety procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory workspace
  • Domestic travel up to 5%

Qualifications

  • Background in relevant scientific discipline (Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering or related field)
  • MS with 1+ year of full-time experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory; BS with 3+ years experience; AS with 5+ years experience; HS diploma/GED with 9+ years experience
  • Professional experience in liquid chromatography is essential
  • Experience in gas chromatography, solid state, characterization, and/or mass spectrometry is desired
  • Ability to ensure assigned activities are completed in satisfaction of project timelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster collaboration within and outside of the organization
  • Ability to travel domestically
