- Conduct testing of raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products following established test procedures using analytical instrumentation.
- Utilize Computer Data Acquisition Systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CGMPs, Company Quality Standards, and FDA/EU Guidelines.
- Adhere to testing schedules to accomplish high volumes of critical work without compromising result integrity.
- Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues.
- Proficiency in HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, FTIR, and Polarimeter techniques.
- Strong documentation review skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
- 3+ years of experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory performing wet chemistry testing and instrumentation.
- Operational experience with Waters Empower data acquisition preferred.
- Working knowledge of US and European pharmacopeia.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with two or more years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with human error awareness/prevention.
- Skills in investigation and problem solving.
- Working familiarity with Word and Excel.
The position is based in a FDA/USDA/EU regulated lab environment, consisting of approximately 30 team members. The lab is divided into three areas: raw material testing, biological testing, and pharmaceutical testing. As a quality control lab responsible for the final stages before product shipment, the environment can be fast-paced and occasionally stressful. Candidates must be prepared to switch gears quickly as needed. Training is available, but proficiency in HPLC is required. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
