Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chemist to join our dynamic team in a regulated laboratory environment. The role involves testing raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products utilizing analytical instrumentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities

• Conduct testing of raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products following established test procedures using analytical instrumentation.
• Utilize Computer Data Acquisition Systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) effectively.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CGMPs, Company Quality Standards, and FDA/EU Guidelines.
• Adhere to testing schedules to accomplish high volumes of critical work without compromising result integrity.
• Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues.

• Proficiency in HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, FTIR, and Polarimeter techniques.
• Strong documentation review skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• 3+ years of experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory performing wet chemistry testing and instrumentation.
• Operational experience with Waters Empower data acquisition preferred.
• Working knowledge of US and European pharmacopeia.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with two or more years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with human error awareness/prevention.
• Skills in investigation and problem solving.
• Working familiarity with Word and Excel.

The position is based in a FDA/USDA/EU regulated lab environment, consisting of approximately 30 team members. The lab is divided into three areas: raw material testing, biological testing, and pharmaceutical testing. As a quality control lab responsible for the final stages before product shipment, the environment can be fast-paced and occasionally stressful. Candidates must be prepared to switch gears quickly as needed. Training is available, but proficiency in HPLC is required. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
