Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team on a Sunday-Thursday 3rd shift from 11:00pm to 7:30am. In this role, you will perform wet chemistry tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished products, conduct sustainability tests, and engage in routine benchtop testing including titration, viscosity, pH, HPLC, density, microbial testing, and GC. You will be responsible for collecting samples from the production floor and communicating between departments as necessary. This position requires both independent work and collaboration with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform wet chemistry tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Conduct sustainability tests and routine benchtop testing including titration, viscosity, pH, HPLC, density, and microbial testing.
• Collect samples from the production floor for testing.
• Communicate effectively between departments as necessary.
• Collaborate with a team and work independently to achieve testing objectives.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in chemistry and laboratory procedures.
• Knowledge of GMP and quality control standards.
• Experience with analytical chemistry and chemical testing.
• Understanding of microbiology practices.
• Ability to perform wet chemistry tests and some micro tests.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, etc.).
• Basic understanding of chemistry testing.
• Basic computer skills.

Work Environment

This position involves spending the majority of your time in the lab, with occasional trips to the production floor to collect samples. The facility is expansive, taking approximately 10 minutes to traverse from one side to the other, sometimes utilizing a bike to move efficiently. The work hours are Sunday-Thursday, 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:30am).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $21.53/hr.
