Clinical Research Scientist

Job Description

Join the Discovery Bioanalytical Team in a lab-based role focused on analyzing samples from internal or external in vivo studies. Your analysis will involve method qualification or sample analysis, ensuring fast turnaround times from sample analysis to reporting data.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze samples using method qualification or sample analysis techniques.
  • Run daily data reviews with trainers.
  • Prepare stocks and solutions for extraction periods.
  • Interact with sample management for sample acquisition.
  • Conduct routine extraction procedures using liquid handling techniques.
  • Operate LC-MS equipment.
  • Utilize pipettes, centrifuges, and other lab equipment.
  • Maintain organized paper documentation for lab processes.
  • Conduct six hours of lab work per day.
Essential Skills
  • Biochemistry
  • Aseptic technique
  • Sterile technique
  • Chemistry and wet chemistry
  • Liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
  • Experience with Sciex Mass Spec, Shimadzu LC, and Analyst Software
  • B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related Life Science degree with 2-4+ years of industry experience, or Masters degree with 0-2 years experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience analyzing plasma samples for pre-clinical species
  • Experience with Watson Software
Work Environment

Work in a busy lab environment within the Metabolism - In-vitro team. The team collaborates closely with in-life teams, with a forecast period of 6-8 weeks ahead. The lab is exploring the hiring of a contingent workforce to assist with busy work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
