Chemical Operator

A pharmaceutical company on Grand Island is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Chemical Operator.

Shift: Monday-Friday 2:00PM-10:00PM, but must be flexible to work other shifts for coverage purposes, as needed

Lots of voluntary OT available OT can be before shift, after shift or on the weekends

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Learn and operate multiple chemical processes in a timely matter.
• Perform analytical tests on raw materials and final products.
• Record and monitor multiple parameters, such as process conditions, test results, and instrument readings. Be able to make adjustments based on data.
• Communicate with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, accuracy, and product quality.
• Move raw materials and products with a forklift or hand dolly.
• Charge raw materials to process, monitor process waste, and pack out final products
• Continually look to develop process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and productivity.

Required Experience & Knowledge:

• Previous operator or chemical operator experience
• Good math skills
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Demand:

• Lifting requirement of approximately 50 pounds multiple times during a shift.
• Standing/walking for long periods of time.
