Bench Scientist AMERICAN CYBERSYSTEMS INC. - Bothell, WA

AsBench Scientist, you will:
Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regularly monitor, self-assign, and update inventory requests
Use LIMS interface and Excel workbooks to fulfill and document assigned requests
Manipulate protein samples under sterile conditions inside a biosafety cabinet
Purify antibodies with AKTA Avant equipment
Characterize purified proteins by UPLC, UV-vis, and Mass Spectrometry methods
Maintain detailed records of purification experiments in an ELN
Complete general lab upkeep including buffer preparation and basic FPLC/column maintenance
Communicate activities to the team and troubleshoot any issues, elevating problems to management as needed
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Wet lab experience using pipettes and maintaining sample sterility using biological safety cabinets
Hands-on experience with FPLC protein purification
(Preferred) experience with protein analytical methods (e.g., analytical SEC, HIC, mass spectrometry)
(Preferred) experience keeping records in ELN systems
(Preferred) writes or understands advanced Excel formulas and VBA or other coding languages
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift and move 25 lbs

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $32.00-$36.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
