Quality Control Lab Technician Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated QC Lab Technician to join our team and contribute to our quality control processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our products by handling the analysis and documentation of various samples.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of incoming samples including pre-purchase, raw material, work-in-progress, and finished products.
  • Prepare and standardize chemical reagents used in laboratory processes.
  • Serve as the primary operator for GC-FID analysis on submitted samples.
  • Sample incoming products in accordance with documented GMPs and written protocols.
  • Conduct compressed gas inventories and alert the Quality Control Manager when usage exceeds expectations.
  • Assist the Quality Control Manager in developing, documenting, and executing new methodologies to meet evolving analytical needs.
  • Perform regular internal inventories of parts, reagents, and supplies for re-ordering purposes.
  • Assist in composing analytical documentation such as Certificates of Analysis.
  • Perform scheduled calibrations of designated laboratory instrumentation.
  • Review and validate GC component data and assist in data entry for analyzed samples.
  • Develop informed organoleptic evaluation capabilities for any submitted FCC products.
  • Collect, label, and store retain quantities for all submitted samples.
  • Perform other duties as directed and appropriate.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Chemistry and laboratory practices.
  • Experience in Quality Control and Gas Chromatography analysis.
  • Strong analytical chemistry skills.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • BS degree in a field of physical science.
  • One year of related laboratory experience is preferred.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
