Process Engineer

Job Description

The Process Engineer is responsible for enhancing plant performance and process control by applying engineering methodologies, data collection, and analysis. This position reports directly to the Process Engineering Manager and plays a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve process control and productivity through daily monitoring, analysis, and reporting of critical process data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and provide technical support in resolving process upsets.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and process engineering.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and manufacturing processes.
  • Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering from an accredited College or University.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in process improvement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and propose solutions for process optimization.
  • Strong project management skills including time management, action planning, task prioritization, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
  • Previous experience with process control systems and data historians such as Wonderware or OSIsoft PI.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience with metallurgical processes is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience using statistical software and tools.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
