An Analytical Scientist specializing in chromatographic separations is sought to support product development for plastics applications across various industries, including agriculture, automotive, construction, and packaging. The role involves developing analytical methods, resolving quality issues, and collaborating with product management and regulatory teams on production changes and compliance.

As a Analytical Scientist, you create chemistry by...

  • Applying expertise in analytical chemistry and chromatography to separate, identify, and quantify additives in polymeric materials.
  • Developing innovative methods to isolate and analyze additives, transformation products, and impurities in plastics.
  • Conducting migration studies in compliance with global food contact and drinking water regulations.
  • Managing technical project requests in collaboration with Application Experts to resolve customer-related product issues.
  • Communicating effectively within cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Maintaining analytical instruments through service contracts and calibration recordkeeping.
  • Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance by following lab protocols and participating in audits for ISO 9001, Responsible Care, and OSHA VPP standards.

If you...

  • Hold a degree in chemistry-bachelor's with 10 years, master's with 5 years, or PhD with 2 years of experience in analytical chemistry.
  • Possess proven expertise in developing methods for both liquid and gas chromatography.
  • Bring hands-on experience working with plastic additives or similar complex material systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently under broad objectives and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Maintain strong proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and LIMS, with preferred knowledge of Empower Chromatography Data System.
