Chemist Operator
Job Description

This role involves facilitating chemical reactions for the API (active pharmaceutical ingredients) and flavor and fragrance industries. You will produce APIs and directly make chemicals related to vaccines and other pharmaceutical ingredients. You will work with glassware and other small-scale systems to produce products and involve in moving carts of chemicals and packaging into reactors, with a 50lb lifting requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate chemical reactions for API and flavor and fragrance industries.
  • Produce APIs and chemicals related to vaccines and other pharmaceutical ingredients.
  • Work with glassware and other small-scale systems to produce products.
  • Move carts of chemicals and packaging into reactors, with a 50lb lifting requirement.
  • Operate reaction chambers, distillation equipment (20L to 200L), and drying filters (50 gallons to 1500 gallons).

  • 3+ years of experience in Chemical Operating (preferably facilitating reactions)
Work Environment

This position has openings on both 1st and 3rd shifts. The 1st shift hours are from 7:00am to 3:30pm, and the 3rd shift hours are from 11:00pm to 7:00am. There is potential for training on the 1st shift before moving to the 3rd shift. The role involves working with various chemical production equipment and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
