Position Summary
Join CVS Health as a Software Development Engineer and role model to peers and clients in IT application development. Within the application development area you will be responsible for analysis, design, development, testing and review to ensure adherence to quality requirements and ensure the product works. Over the time you will be aligned to specific functional areas that you will work closely with the related SMEs to gain the knowledge and support both functionally and technically as part of RxClaim FAB application.
Key Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- You will work closely with the CVS leads on Analysis, Development and Estimation activities related to designated project/functional area in CVS Health PBM Domain.
- You will coordinate with offshore team members, resolve issues in production, prepare and execute project plans.
- You will perform requirement and gap analysis, raise change control to move changes to user acceptance testing server and then to production server, deploy changes to production per implementation plan.
- You will make certain appropriate and effective data integration across multiple applications.
- You will create/review technical solutions and document projects, for example: Analysis & Designs Program specifications, Code Reviews and Test plan.
- You will help define standards / methodologies / guidelines and ensure compliance while aligning solutions to the CVS Health PBM Domain application architecture.
Required Qualifications
- This position requires some in office days at the Richardson, Tx office. Candidates must reside a commutable distance to this location.
- 2+ Years Experience in Microservices, Rest APIs
- 2+ Years Experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular, React, or Node.js
- 2+ Years Experience in Relational and No SQL DB
- 2+ Experience working on SDLC and Agile methodologies
- 2 + Years Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud-native application design.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated successful completion of several medium to large scope projects; proficiency working on all phases of SDLC and with problem determination and resolution through research and fact finding.
- Experience with RxClaim or other PBM Adjudication system is preferred.
- Experience of AS/400 RPG, RPGLE and CL; Synon2/E (aka COOL 2/E) application development, Maintenance and Support
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

The typical pay range for this role is:
$72,100.00 - $144,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
