Position Summary

The Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for Defining, Designing & Developing digital solutions for CVS Healthcare Identity domain by applying technical expertise in the latest cloud technologies/web-development methodologies. As part of the Digital Enterprise team, you will join a team responsible for coding enterprise-wide applications, conducting system testing and debugging, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall technical implementation and innovation of digital engineering projects.

In this position you will partner and collaborate with the engineering managers, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and product owners to effectively translate the business requirements and architectural designs into engineering components. The Full Stack Developer will be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production.

What is expected

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer in understanding business requirements and translating into engineering solutions
  • Hands on experience in writing, debugging, and reviewing code, and producing thoroughly tested, defect-free features
  • Knowledge on how to build, test, and deploy code to run on On-Prem/cloud infrastructure
  • Write and execute unit tests, conduct code reviews, debug, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the reliability and stability of digital solutions
  • Leverage advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency
  • Knowledge of advance object-oriented design and design patterns, with a strong background on REST Web Services, J2EE and Spring frameworks
  • Integrate various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solutions
  • Participate in SAFe agile methodologies, attends meetings, and contributes to project planning and progress tracking
  • Explore new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration

Required Qualifications

  • This is a hybrid position that requires 2-3 days per week in the office. Office locations are Scottsdale, AZ and Richardson, TX. Candidates must live a commutable distance to either of these locations.
  • 2+ years of software development experience in building enterprise/web/cloud applications
  • 2+ years of experience in programming languages using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot and Spring MVC
  • 2+ years of experience working in React JS OR Angular UI applications
  • 2+ years of experience with building APIs and services using REST
  • 2+ years of experience working with DevOps tools/processes for CICD (i.e. Jenkins, Octopus)
  • 2+ years of experience in build, testing, and deploying code to run on cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • 2+ years of experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • 1+ years of experience working with RDBMS databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Postgress)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to cloud-based platforms is highly preferred (i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with monitoring application performance using apps like AppDynamics / Grafana / Splunk etc.
  • Knowledge of SAML and OAuth2 for authentication.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar technical program

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$72,100.00 - $144,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
