TTCU is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for reviewing documents and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to established policies. You'll work closely with internal teams to identify discrepancies, support process improvements, and uphold our commitment to operational excellence.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Monitor the Encompass, Keystone, Lending 360, and FICS systems to ensure payments are accurately applied and account balances are correct.
Stay current with federal and state mortgage regulations and implement updates to ensure compliance across the lending department.
Prepare loan files for audits and collaborate with agencies such as the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB), Freddie Mac, and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), including gathering and submitting curative documentation as needed.
Audit employee loan applications and perform final audits to ensure compliance with internal quality control measures and external investor guidelines.
Prepare and maintain reports for audits from NCUA, FHLB, Freddie Mac, USDA, VA, HUD, and other relevant entities.
Train lending staff on audit findings, regulatory updates, and compliance procedures to support alignment with federal and secondary market requirements.
Review and audit flagged appraisals in accordance with policy, including evaluation of second appraisal requests.
Conduct sample post-closing audits for Real Estate and Consumer Loans as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related discipline preferred.
3 years of intermediate experience working with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHLB, FHA, VA, and USDA lending programs.
3 years of intermediate experience in consumer lending, loan collection procedures, real estate title searches, and abstracting.
Strong knowledge of lending regulations and secondary market guidelines.
Experience with loan origination and servicing systems such as Encompass, Keystone, Lending 360, and FICS.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple compliance priorities.
Ability to qualify with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System).
