Bio-Analytical Lab Technician

Our client is currently seeking a skilled Bio-Analytical Laboratory Technician to perform routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of food safety, quality assurance, and production operations.
Located in Minneapolis, MN
6 month contract with extension
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $25-32/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of biological samples, raw materials, and experimental formulations using established lab methods (e.g., HPLC, ELISA, PCR, spectrophotometry).
Document and interpret results accurately using LIMS, databases, and technical reports; escalate atypical findings to scientific staff.
Support method development, validation, and optimization in collaboration with R D scientists
Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot a wide range of analytical instruments and laboratory equipment.
Participate in the execution of research protocols, experimental designs, and feasibility studies under guidance from senior scientists.
Follow GLP/GMP or ISO 17025 standards and maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and quality documentation.
Monitor lab supply inventory and coordinate ordering to ensure uninterrupted lab operations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support root cause analysis during investigations.
Comply with all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safe lab practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
3+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting (bioanalytical, QC, or R D preferred).
Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, ELISA, UV-Vis, and PCR.
Understanding of regulated environments (GLP, GMP, or ISO 17025) and quality documentation practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with comfort using LIMS or electronic lab notebooks.
