Quality Control Technician Job Description As a Quality Control Technician, you will be at the forefront of technology, working with some of the newest innovations before they hit the market. You will systematically monitor and evaluate various products to ensure that product standards are met and exceeded through meticulous inspections, testing, and effective communication with team stakeholders. Your findings will contribute to enhancing product quality continuously. Responsibilities Verify products in accordance with documentation, method standards, defaults, and customer-defined requirements. Perform routine inspections of electronic sub-assemblies, cables, and hardware assemblies. Document deviations in process, product, form, fit, and function. Communicate deviations effectively, detailing identification and resolution. Resolve minor deviations before progressing products to the next stage. Share work experience in a friendly and professional manner. Collaborate with departments to create product or process standards where none exist. Ensure amendments to process and product are documented appropriately. Learn new or custom product standards and ensure their conformance. Ensure products adhere to established standards of strength, quality, and endurance. Perform testing on completed products using provided test equipment and software. Operate mechanical and electrical test equipment to verify conformance to standards. Collect data and organize it into tables and charts. Maintain internal diagnostics programs in conjunction with respective departments. Assist in training new team members. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed. Essential Skills Quality Control and Inspection expertise. Experience in electronics, material handling, and hardware. Two years of experience in mechanical inspection or a related field. Working knowledge of computer hardware or networking. Strong problem-solving skills. Effective interpersonal oral and written communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications A high-school diploma or GED, or an additional three years of related on-the-job experience. Continued interest in new technologies and willingness to learn.
