The Medical Technologist conducts clinical diagnostic testing on inpatients, outpatients, and residents to included blood draws and specimen collections for processing. Performs therapeutic phlebotomy. Conducts quality control procedures on patient tests and laboratory equipment to ensure that accurate diagnostic testing is performed. Reports patient data to the patient's medical record and/or medical staff if the results warrant direct contact.
We are hiring for Medical Laboratory Scientist position in the Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center in Kodiak Island, AK!
Position is full-time, 0.9 FTE, 12-hr Night shifts, 36 hours per week.
$7,500 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of education equivalent to national certification as Medical Technologist (MT) from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from ASCP.
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
- Within 1 year of hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists or
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years Work experience in a clinical laboratory.
