- Analyze failures and determine necessary tests for diesel engines and valvetrain components.
- Collaborate with lab technicians to ensure accurate results for internal customers.
- Work under the mentorship of a highly experienced professional.

- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering with relevant metallurgical experience.
- Foundational knowledge of ferrous metallurgy and metal analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
- Internship experience in a metallurgical lab or related field.
- Exposure to failure analysis techniques.
- Experience with metallurgical testing methods such as chemistry, hardness, and mechanical properties.
- Understanding of X-ray refraction, magnetic particle testing, and scanning electron microscopy.
- Ability to quickly adapt to custom lab reporting software.
