Development Chemist

We are seeking a Development Chemist to join our team. As a Development Chemist, you will be part of the Industrial Coatings Group supporting the Coil Coatings team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in our organization.

Job Title: Development Chemist

Location: Springdale, PA

What's the Job?

• Assist with lab work in support of troubleshooting production issues.
• File and update formulas in the Oracle ERP system under the direction of senior team members.
• Conduct lab experiments to resolve customer questions and concerns.
• Evaluate test pieces from line application trials.
• Prepare and submit samples for long-term weathering testing.

What's Needed?

• BS Degree in a technical/engineering field such as Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering.
• Laboratory experience (industrial lab experience preferred).
• Prior knowledge of coatings chemistry or formulation is desired.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other technical team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
