Job Description

The Scientist II will be responsible for supporting Extractables and Leachable (E&L) work in the laboratory. This involves performing extractions, working with ovens, conducting calibrations, preparing sample solutions, setting up experiments, and operating FTIR and ICP-MS instruments. While knowledge of E&L analysis is beneficial, it is not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform extractions and calibrations within the laboratory.
  • Prepare sample solutions and set up experiments.
  • Operate FTIR and ICP-MS instruments.
  • Adhere to good documentation practices (GDP) and good laboratory practices (GLP).
  • Conduct sample preparation.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong understanding of chemistry and analytical techniques.
  • Experience in sample preparation.
  • Proficiency with GMP and FTIR.
  • Familiarity with GC-MS, chemical characterization, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of MassHunter software.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of industry chemistry experience.
  • At least 1 year of FTIR experience.
  • Experience with ICP-MS and E&L analysis is a plus.

This position is part of a biocompatibility team that includes E&L, toxicology, and biocompatibility specialists. The work environment is upbeat and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on team culture. Working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
