Job Summary
If you're interested in an Entry Level Laboratory Technician job, then this is the best role for you! This onsite position involves generating and evaluating lab-scale samples, conducting testing for customer programs and research, supporting manufacturing, and troubleshooting equipment. The contractor will maintain records, provide information searches, and perform calculations for production. They must comply with EHS, SOPs, and Responsible Care standards in a safe lab environment.
Job Description
- Generate and evaluate lab-scale samples to support customer programs, product and process research, and manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and maintain production and testing equipment.
- Support machine scale-up work and property evaluations.
- Maintain logs, notebooks, and computer records.
- Conduct internet and other information searches for technical problem-solving.
- Perform stoichiometric calculations for production using computer programs or manual methods.
- Follow all EHS, SOPs, and Responsible Care rules and guidelines to maintain a safe lab environment
- Manage multiple tasks and work effectively with multiple technical supervisors.
- Interface with manufacturing and research personnel, and directly with customers as needed.
- Provide timely results to ensure the quality of products shipped to customers.
Skills Required
- 1-3 years in a lab or technical role.
- Ability to generate and evaluate samples for lab and production testing.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance skills for laboratory and production equipment.
- Accurate record-keeping and documentation.
- Ability to perform stoichiometric and related calculations for production.
- Strong internet research and information-gathering skills.
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and customers.
- Commitment to safety and compliance in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Shift: 07:30 AM 04:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Must follow EHS, SOPs, and Responsible Care guidelines.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and multiple supervisory inputs.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $15.00 to $21.00 per hour based on qualifications.
