Design and Process Development Engineer

A reputable client of ours is growing and looking to add to their Mechanical Engineering team. If you are Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with some process development experience and are looking to grow your career please take a look at this opening. Candidates MUST have at least 5 years of experience to be considered and have a background with machined components and/or injection molding to be considered.

Job Title: Senior Design Engineer
Location: Arden Hills, MN
Pay Rate: 45hr+, depends on experience

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop products from conceptualization to launch
• Collaborates and consults with Test, Process Development and Quality Engineers in support of NPD
• Interacts with customers and suppliers as needed to assess new technology needs
• Leads or assists in efforts to resolve product performance issues

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, or another related field
• 5+ years of design and product development experience
• Curious, creative, and tenacious problem solver
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers
• Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• CAD proficiency PTC Creo, SolidWorks, etc.
• Competent in the design and development of plastic molded components
• Competent in the design and development of machined components for high volume manufacturing
• GD&T experience preferred

• 4 days in office, 1 day remote
