Laboratory Technician

Description

Work as a lab tech, supporting Sr. Chemists in the sweeteners lab.

Measure pH, color- uv-vis, water activity

Set up stability tests, prepare samples, put into temp chambers

Help sensory lab prepare for tests, dilute samples, proportion liquids

Assist with projects- lot of stevia work now, absorption, carbon, resin filtration.

Prepare samples for micro submissions

Clean glassware, prepare samples, load samples to HPLC, quantitative analysis.

Will be doing a lot of HPLC sample prep. We can train them as needed, but precise weighing, efficient work, and good record keeping are a must.

Food ingredients company, all new product development, will support several projects, new products, modifying procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST have a Bachelors in Chemistry or related

Great if candidate comes from a QC Lab and wants to get into Product Development. Experience could also be undergrad research experience.

Ideal candidate will have experience loading samples to HPLC, know analytical sample prep technique.

Candidates that have plans to go back to grad school in August 2025 are great

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
