**Analytical Chemist Medical Device Testing**
**Location:** Onsite Arden Hills, MN
**Schedule Options:**
+ SundayThursday or TuesdaySaturday
+ Start times: 7:30 AM4:00 PM or 8:00 AM4:30 PM (some flexibility available)
**Job Type:** 1-year contract with the possibility for extension and/or conversion
**Job Overview**
We are seeking an **Analytical Chemist** to support the **chemical characterization of medical devices** in a regulated laboratory setting. This role involves hands-on instrumental analysis, sample preparation, and data documentation in compliance with **FDA, ISO 10993, and ISO 17025** standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Conduct chemical analyses using techniques such as **FTIR, GC-MS, LC-MS, and ICP-MS**
+ Perform sample preparation including **extractions, solvent exchange, concentration** , and **gravimetric determination** of non-volatile residue
+ Prepare laboratory **standards, reagents, and solutions**
+ Assist in the **development, validation, and qualification** of analytical test methods
+ Generate data **reports and documentation** for internal teams and regulatory use
+ Maintain **lab records, quality documentation** , and instrumentation logs
+ Participate in general **laboratory upkeep** : ordering supplies, washing glassware, monitoring equipment
+ Adhere to **quality standards and company policies** with a strong focus on **patient safety and product quality**
+ Support **equipment qualification and ongoing maintenance**
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelors degree in Chemistry ( **Biochemistry acceptable** )
+ 02 years of relevant lab experience ( **internships and academic lab work count!** )
+ Proficiency in **pipetting** , working with **lab hoods** , **balances** , and general **wet chemistry techniques**
+ Strong **communication, organization** , and **technical writing** skills
+ Familiarity with **analytical documentation practices**
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Hands-on experience with **HPLC or GC** instrumentation and troubleshooting
+ Exposure to **Chromatography Data Systems** (e.g., Empower)
+ Experience with **Extractables & Leachables (E&L)** studies or general chemical characterization
+ Understanding of **ISO 10993, ISO 17025** , and **FDA** regulatory guidelines
+ Industry experience in a **medical device or pharmaceutical** analytical lab
+ Background in **preparing and analyzing solvent extracts** of medical devices
**Additional Information**
+ Strong consideration will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in **regulated environments** and familiarity with **extractables & leachables** testing
