Lab Scientist - Certified (Nights) | Direct Hire Opportunity
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Schedule: Nights, 9:00 PM - 6:30 AM | 4 shifts/week | 36 hours total
Pay Range: $26.71 - $40.06/hour
Sign-On Bonus: Eligible for up to $10,000
A respected regional medical center is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) to join their Microbiology department on a full-time, night-shift schedule. This is a direct hire role with a comprehensive benefits package and a generous sign-on bonus.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform medical laboratory tests with accuracy and efficiency, following established protocols and quality standards.
Conduct clinical instrument maintenance and assist in the development of new tests and instrumentation.
Provide training and mentorship to laboratory co-workers.
Actively contribute to departmental projects, inspections, and overall lab readiness.
Apply advanced knowledge of instruments, techniques, and core medical sciences to support clinical operations.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or an equivalent field per CLIA 42CFR493.1405(b)(5)(i)(B).
Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program.
MLS certification (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or AAB).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Visual acuity and color discrimination required.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
