Biologics Developability Screening and Automation The Biologics CMC Developability team is an integral part of the Biologics CMC Drug Product Development organization at Company. The Biologics CMC Developability team is responsible for- (1) the identification of biophysical- and chemical liabilities in discovery-stage biologic drug candidates to guide lead selection, and (2) for characterization of the key CMC attributes important for biologic drug development. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated scientist to join the Company Biologics CMC Developability team based in Worcester, MA. location: Worcester, Massachusetts job type: Contract salary: $55 - 68 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Perform in-depth LC-MS based characterization of therapeutic biologic molecules and their post-translational modifications.Conduct biophysical and biochemical characterization of biologic drug candidates, as needed.Execute experimental protocols, collect results, and perform data analysis carefully and independently.Maintain excellent documentation of work including electronic lab notebook and protocols.Prepare and deliver concise scientific presentations of experimental results.Oversee maintenance of key laboratory equipment and routine laboratory operations.Build strong relationships with other team members and across groups.Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, and documentation compliance. qualifications: Required Qualifications PhD with 0+ years of relevant experience, OR MS with 2+ years, OR BS with 5+ years in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related fieldsProtein Mass Spectrometry: Hands-on experience with protein mass spectrometryFamiliarity with subunit analysis, peptide mapping, and disulfide mappingExperience with sample preparation and running samples on a mass spectrometerCompetence in data collection and basic data interpretation Workflow Execution: Comfortable managing a mostly automated workflowAbility to handle mass spectrometry sample prep and operationSkilled in experimental protocol execution and independent data analysis Lab Documentation & Communication: Strong documentation practices (e.g., electronic lab notebooks) Able to present findings and generate reportsClear written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Protein Characterization: Experience with biochemical and biophysical characterization of biologic proteins Familiarity with techniques such as: Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)Chromatography Automation Experience: Experience with Hamilton robotic liquid handling systems (primary platform) Exposure to Opentrons (bonus) Presentation & Team Collaboration: Ability to present scientific data to project teams Comfortable working cross-functionally with discovery and development teams Software Skills: Data analysis using MS Excel , GraphPad , or similar tools Experience with MS data processing software is a plus #LI-AM1 skills: MS-EXCEL, Biology, Chemistry Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Randstad, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
