Job Description
A Senior Process Chemical Engineer / Department Manager is needed for a leading EPC organization. The Senior Process Chemical Engineer will lead design efforts for industrial capital projects. This role will collaborate directly with clients and internal design teams during planning and preconstruction phases to define scopes, produce technical documentation, and drive process design execution across multiple active projects.
Ideal candidates will bring at least 10 years of experience in process engineering within specialty chemical, films and fibers, or related industries. A bachelor's in chemical engineering is and PE Licensure is required. Proficiency in simulation tools, hydraulic calculations, and PHA methodologies is essential. Leadership and client-facing communication skills are a must. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.

- Lead process scope development and create front-end design documents in partnership with clients
- Direct the production of PFDs, P&IDs, heat/material balances, and equipment specifications
- Perform hydraulic and pressure relief device calculations and process hazard analyses
- Provide leadership to cross-functional design teams and mentor junior engineers
- Support construction and field operations to ensure adherence to process intent
- Manage client communication and contribute to project planning and technical reviews
qualifications:
- Experience level: Manager
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors (required)
