What You Will Learn:

Provides technical support to the Quality Laboratories as it relates to meeting Quality System and regulatory requirements.

  • Test and inspect raw materials, bulk batches, and finished goods in accordance with the LOreal DGO test methods and specifications. Record test results in SAP, issue NCMRs as appropriate.
  • This position is a cross-functional chemist that will collaborate with various labs to support business priorities.
  • Testing would be performed in various labs including raw material, analytical, microbiology, bulk, and finished goods. Tests may include viscosity, color/odor/appearance, centrifuge, microscope, pH, microbiology, and tests on various instruments such as HPLC, IR, Xray, or others.
  • Ensure that all quality system documents and records are maintained properly.
  • Maintain calibrated laboratory test equipment in good working order.
  • Observe the plants safety and quality requirements.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the labs and work areas
  • Perform other duties as necessary or required.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree, Chemistry or Microbiology degrees preferred
  • Experience with compliance to FDA and ISO guidelines including SOPs, auditing, and documentation requirements is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, team mindset
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Pass results for color and odor tests
