Our client is an international cosmetics company. They are now seeking for a Chemist (Innovation, Formulation) who is passionate about consumer goods!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60k - $65K

Position Overview:

The Chemist (Innovation, Formulation) provides timely, accurate technical support to assigned accounts and collaborate cross-functionally to develop innovative personal care products.

Responsibilities of the Chemist (Innovation, Formulation):

  • Technical Excellence: Accurately create, prepare, and execute formulation batch sheets as the Chemist (Innovation, Formulation). Follow all laboratory safety protocols. Compile ingredient listings and key product benefits. Develop process, facility, product, and testing specifications. Troubleshoot batching and filling issues in production. Investigate and resolve customer complaints. Ensure all products are tested incompliance with cGMP requirements. Maintain precise documentation in cGMP lab notebooks. Conduct and monitor stability testing of aerosol products.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Maintain a positive, solution-oriented mindset. Provide exceptional service and manage customer expectations. Respond to communications promptly and follow up diligently. Report progress, findings, and updates to management regularly.
  • Time & Task Management: Submit samples and formulas on schedule. Organize weekly tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Initiative & Innovation: Conduct independent research to troubleshoot issues. Identify and address departmental needs proactively. Explore new materials and technologies for formulations. Apply consumer insights to guide product development. Demonstrate a strong desire for continuous learning.

Required Experience/Skills for the Chemist (Innovation, Formulation):

  • Interest in cosmetics, personal care, or OTC drug chemistry.
  • 1 - 2 years of formulation experience is required.
  • Strong computer and mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is required.
