Join our team as a Lab Technician - Technical Service Chemist in Walton Hills, Ohio, where you will play a vital role in our research and development operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in organic chemistry to support our technical service, process development, and raw material evaluation efforts. In this role, you will work independently while collaborating with our Technical Manager and team members to enhance product performance, improve processes, and ensure quality standards. Responsibilities:

Conduct technical service activities to support customer needs and internal projects.

Assist in process development and improvement to enhance product performance and efficiency.

Perform raw material evaluation and approval to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Exercise independent decision-making on specific projects with oversight from the Technical Manager.

Collaborate with the Technical Manager and other technical staff on complex technical challenges.

Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, following all safety protocols.

Document experimental procedures, results, and findings accurately.

Ensure effective time management and task prioritization while working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Metal Organics Chemistry, or a related field.

Hands-on experience in laboratory settings, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Knowledge of basic physical paint testing methods (e.g., viscosity, gloss, adhesion, etc.).

Knowledge of laboratory best practices, safety protocols, and chemical handling procedures.

Experience in working in a paint and coatings company is a plus.

Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office products, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
