In this Scientist I role, you'll support the development and characterization of multi-specific biologics, contributing to novel immunological disease research. You'll design and execute in vitro assays, work hands-on with human immune cells, and generate data that directly informs exploratory programs. responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and analyze in vitro assays to support early discovery research.
- Characterize multi-specific biologics for immunology-focused discovery programs.
- Work with primary human immune cells to explore key biological questions.
- Perform techniques such as ELISA/MSD, cell culture, transfection, SDS-PAGE, immunoprecipitation, and Western blotting .
- Isolate immune cells from human blood and tissues for experimental use.
- Utilize multi-color flow cytometry (e.g., Canto, MACSQuant) and analyze results using FlowJo .
- Support biologic screening in human cells and assist with cell-based assay development .
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and present findings to internal research teams.
qualifications:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biological Sciences or a related field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on, job-related laboratory experience.
- Strong experience in in vitro human cell culture , including work with various immune cell types.
- Proficiency in ELISA/MSD to quantify pro-inflammatory proteins.
- Solid knowledge of cell biology and biochemical techniques (e.g., tissue culture, transfection, SDS-PAGE, immunoprecipitation, Western blotting).
- Hands-on experience with multi-color flow cytometry (Canto, MACSQuant) and FlowJo data analysis .
- Skilled in immune cell isolation from human blood and tissues.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience in biologic screening using human cells .
- Familiarity with DNA/RNA handling and molecular biology techniques such as PCR and qPCR .
- Prior experience supporting early-stage drug discovery in immunology or related therapeutic areas.
