The Sponsored Products (SP) Off-Search team is focused on building delightful ad experiences across various surfaces on Amazonsuch as product detail pages, the homepage, and store-in-store pagesto drive monetization. Our vision is to deliver highly personalized, context-aware advertising that adapts to individual shopper preferences, scales across diverse page types, remains relevant to seasonal and event-driven moments, and integrates seamlessly with organic recommendations such as new arrivals, basket-building content, and fast-delivery options. To execute this vision, we work in close partnership with Stores stakeholders to lead the expansion and growth of SP across Amazon-owned and -operated pages beyond Search. We operate full stackfrom backend ads-retail edge services, ads retrieval, and ad auctions to shopper-facing experiencesall designed to deliver meaningful value.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our team to grow the business. We are providing advanced real-time machine learning services to connect shoppers with the right ads worldwide. Through the in-depth understanding of both shoppers and products, we help shoppers discover new products they love, be the most efficient way for advertisers to meet their customers, and helps Amazon continuously innovate on behalf of all customers. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will drive the technical direction of our offerings and solutions, working with many technologies across the organization. You will design, code, troubleshoot, and support scalable machine-learning pipelines and online serving systems. You will work on implementing end-to-end ML solutions and optimizing the performance. In addition to being a strongly motivated individual contributor, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and guiding them to deliver to the full potential.
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
