What is the position? Evercore ISI seeks to hire a Research Associate for its Regional Banks and Specialty Finance equity research team located in New York, NY.

Primary Responsibilities: Ideal candidate will be proactive, high energy, and able to work effectively within a highly productive team. The candidate should possess excellent excel skills, knowledge of finance, and accounting and superior writing skills. A strong work ethic with the ability to learn quickly is essential. Candidates with a strong background in finance & accounting are encouraged to apply. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Develop and update financial models efficiently

Perform financial and valuation analysis of covered companies

Execute proprietary research projects that generate impactful stock calls

Assist with client requests & inquiries

Idea generation

Maintain databases and create tables and charts

Participate in company management calls and conferences

Track relevant news articles relaying important messages to the team

Closely follow industry and economic data

Specific Qualifications:

2-5 years of Equity research experience is ideal

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); the job entails significant writing responsibilities

Background in finance and accounting

Strong modeling / excel capabilities

Superior writing skills

Interest in stocks

Initiative, drive and motivation to learn

Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish broader goals and objectives

Capable of handling multiple responsibilities

Ability to meet deadlines

Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends when needed

Detail-oriented

Expected Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000
