Position Details: Title: Analytical Chemist (Temp to Hire) - Flavor & Fragrance Focus Position Type: 6 month + contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need Job Location : Union Beach, NJ Shift: 1st shift Benefits : 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance Compensation: $25-$30/HR Primary Responsibilities: Perform technical work under the general supervision of senior technical staff. Prepare samples and conduct analytical testing using GC and related techniques. Assist in basic method development for chromatographic analysis. Accurately document procedures and results in compliance with laboratory standards. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry (Ph.D. considered). Experience with instrumental analysis and sample preparation is required. Interest or experience in flavor/fragrance analysis is highly desirable. Ability to develop technical plans, work independently, and solve technical problems. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn chromatographic theory and techniques.
