- Document experiments, results, and findings in laboratory notebooks.
- Present work at group and department meetings.
- Contribute to the drafting of protocols, method development reports, regulatory submission sections, and peer-reviewed articles for publication.
- Maintain instruments and troubleshoot instrumental/experimental problems.
- Order and maintain supplies.
- Prepare buffers and dilute samples.
- Pipette and set up assay plates following standard protocols to support the characterization of proteins.
- Characterize proteins, including protein concentration and activity.
- BS in Biochemistry or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or MS in Biochemistry or related field plus 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Technical proficiency in automated FPLC and/or HPLC (SEC, IEX, affinity).
- Experience in electrophoresis (native and/or SDS-PAGE, western blots, 2-D gels).
- Experience in spectroscopy (UV, fluorescence, and/or circular dichroism).
- Hands-on experience with light scattering and/or capillary electrophoresis techniques is desirable.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in the biopharmaceutical industry.
