QC Chemist

The QC Chemist is responsible for conducting routine and advanced testing, operating specialized equipment, and participating in investigation activities within a specific department or group setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine testing or analysis in a designated group or department.
• Perform advanced or critical testing as required.
• Operate specialized equipment and conduct skill-specific testing.
• Participate in investigation activities.

• Hands-on experience with ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV, HPLC, GC, IC, and Dissolution instruments.
• Proficiency in operating computer and analytical instrument software, including Empower, Chromeleon, Lab Solutions, and LIMS.

• Must have a life science related degree, preferably in chemistry.
• 2-15 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Chemistry using HPLC.

This position involves performing QC testing for newly approved products and new license transfers, focusing on HPLC and dissolutions. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with optional overtime available on weekends. The role is based in a cGMP laboratory or manufacturing environment where personal protective equipment, such as uniforms, lab coats, safety glasses, and respiratory protection, is required. The job involves working with or around solvents, powders, and other materials typical of a pharmaceutical laboratory or manufacturing facility.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72400.00 - $90000.00/yr.
