Formulations Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Formulations Technician, contributing to a pivotal project involving particle stability testing. This role requires performing dilutions of stock particles, pipetting, and running standard tests on internal instruments. Your role is crucial to the big picture, and you will be expected to work independently after training while collaborating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Apply analytical skills or scientific methods to perform daily tasks.
  • Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot reagent components and instruments.
  • Conduct testing on solutions, including pH, conductivity, and density, to ensure adherence to production and process specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
  • At least 12 months of lab experience, either from lab manufacturing positions or extensive hands-on lab courses in school.
  • Ability to articulate previous experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience in pipetting and showing initiative by seeking out answers.
Work Environment

Work in a regulated manufacturing and production environment as part of the Reagent Small Vial Value Stream team. The role involves formulating, filling, testing, and packaging chemical and biological reagent products according to operational plans and customer demand. The main lab is chemistry-based, following SOPs for making calibrators. Work includes pipetting, functional testing on analytical tests, lab work, and data analysis to ensure specifications are met. Expect direct labor lab work that is highly independent. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule, from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.59 - $25.59/hr.
