Location: Hybrid/Remote: The successful candidate can work on a Hybrid/Remote basis, reporting into one of our offices located in Pennsylvania or North Carolina.

Why are we hiring a Research Data Scientist?

As our products continue to grow and evolve, we are hiring a Research Data Scientist!

The research data scientist is responsible for conducting research and development activities associated with new and expanded solutions and applications of the In Silico & Data Insights product suite, with a focus on Leadscope but interactions with other products as needed.

This includes the management of, or collaboration in, working groups addressing scientific issues related to the acceptance and implementation of in silico solutions, including regulatory solutions.

What are you responsible for?

• Develop computational models for the prediction of toxicological endpoints
• Lead or participate in research collaborations to address In Silico & Data Insights topics
• Publish and present research, manage publication process
• Contribute to production of documentation of development activities as required by Instem's SDLC
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of in silico modelling and data-driven insights products for the product suite
• Provide consultative support for professional services deployment, if needed
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science methodologies and best practices
• Support sales and marketing with technical pre-sales and the development of marketing material
• Adherence to the Company's Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled Securely, Professionally and Diligently.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Ph.D. in toxicology, computational toxicology, bioinformatics or related discipline
• Knowledge of chemical mechanisms of action and toxicological pathways (including SARs, and AOPs)
• Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
• Experience manipulating and analyzing data from different sources.
• Experience in theoretical and empirical research and answering questions with research.
• Experience in Python, Rust, SQL, and Java for data analysis and software development.
