Develop and implement standard supplier development and qualification processes, evaluate potential suppliers, and work with suppliers to ensure that they meet the companys requirements. The goal is to ensure that the company has a reliable and high-quality supplier base that supports its business objectives. This position is responsible for ensuring that the companys suppliers can meet the companys needs and that they align with the companys values and goals.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and implement supplier development and qualification policies/procedures
- Monitor compliance with suppliers development of qualification policies/procedures
- Manage the process of qualifying new suppliers, including conducting supplier assessments and audits, and audit follow-up/improvements.
- Ensure that existing suppliers meet the company's quality and performance standards
- Provide training to all suppliers and the company internal team for supplier performance scorecard
- Actively support strategic sourcing cost-out projects and new product introduction by working closely with suppliers from development through to production launch, ensuring compliance with processes and coordinating on-time submission of FAI's or PPAPs as required.
- Coach suppliers in the deployment of key business processes such as 8D Problem Solving, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), PPAP etc
- Drive improvements by utilizing Lean methodologies, supplier scorecards, and conducting supplier audits. Ensure supplier compliance while implementing systematic problem-solving and process improvement plans to consistently meet or exceed defined expectations.
- Educate suppliers on Lincoln internal processes to achieve optimal alignment with Lincoln manufacturing plants.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to ensure uninterrupted production and delivery of components
- Bachelors degree in engineering including a minimum of 7 years experience
- ERP experience
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of supplier qualification and performance management strategies, policies & procedures
- Team player with ability to listen & lead with influence, within a matrix organization
- Ability to travel 25% to 30% which includes some international travel
- Recognized certifications such as ASQ certified supplier quality professional
- Excellent project management skills including leading, prioritization, scheduling, written and oral communication skills.
