Heres the Gist:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Power R&D group. As a fab Process Engineer in the Power R&D group, you will be responsible for the integration and disposition of all Power R&D material in the Fab. You will be an integral part of the development of novel process capabilities that will advance Wolfspeeds SiC power device technology. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of Device Designers and Process Development Engineers, to drive yield and performance improvements and to bring new device designs and processes to market.

The Day-to-Day

  • Learn and perform tasks related to the fabrication of SiC Power device, including: photolithography, dry and wet etch processes, physical and chemical vapor deposition, and thermal processing

  • Own process flow integration for Power Semiconductor Devices: New R&D product setup, new route/process flow setup and maintenance, integration and process review with technology development project owners

  • Manage R&D WIP: Collect data, analyze results, and issue recommendations to scientists, publish daily WIP reports and associated actions, own engineering lot disposition

  • Assist in developing new unit processes to enable next generation of SiC power devices: Executing on DOEs, running R&D tools when needed, In-line metrology data collection and recipe creation

  • Assist in creating documentation for new procedures and work instructions after process development is completed

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelors or M.S. Degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or any closely related field

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device fabrication, including working knowledge of photolithography, dry and wet processes, dielectric deposition techniques and/or metal deposition techniques, etc.

  • Working knowledge of material characterization techniques, including: AFM, XRF, EDX, SEM, TEM, and AES, etc.

  • Knowledge of Statistical-based data analysis, MES and Scheduling systems

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail is a must

  • Strong track record of problem-solving abilities

  • Able to work in a cleanroom for an extended time

The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individuals job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

Compensation Range:

$77,000.00 - $106,000.00
