Provides accurate, timely, and cost-effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides technical expertise to Providence Laboratory and other institutions.

We are hiring for Medical Laboratory Scientist position in the Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez, AK!
Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 10-hr Variable shifts, 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science or in the chemical or biological sciences Or Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, including 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of biological science (with one semester in microbiology), 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of chemistry (with one semester in organic or biochemistry), and
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
- Within 1 year of hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts Or
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or
- Within 1 year of hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology
