The Role: As the Chemist - Industrial Solutions, reporting to the Principal Chemist - Industrial Solutions, you will be responsible for making formulations, running application testing, perform typical characterization, and solving quality control product issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting aspects of development of new products, procedures, and test methods. How You Will Make an Impact: R D - Product Development Develop and test fuel and lubricant formulations in collaboration with principal chemists Conduct application testing on in-house and benchmark products, analyze results, and clearly communicate performance data Present findings in monthly team meetings and suggest data-driven product improvements Manage multiple projects independently with strong organizational and critical thinking skills Perform routine characterization, qualitative/quantitative chemical and physical testing Maintain accurate and organized lab notebooks and reports Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functional Participate in the maintenance and evolution of procedures and test methods Adhere to company EH&S regulations, SI Group Responsible Care practices and ISO 9000 programs Creating Extraordinary Starts With: BS in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Material Science or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of related Fuel and Lubricants experience, or; MS in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Material Science or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of related Fuel and Lubricants experience What We Value: We strive for all employees to nurture physical, mental and emotional health both personally and professionally.
