We are searching for a Lab Pack Field Chemist within an environmental services firm. The ideal candidate will have waste pack disposal experience in a field setting. This position offers ample over-time (not required).

We are a growing hazardous waste transportation and environmental services company, proudly serving clients across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. Our team specializes in the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, with a strong focus on customer service and environmental responsibility.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lab Pack Chemist to join our field services team. In this hands-on role, you'll work directly at client sites to identify, classify, sample, and package waste materials for proper transportation and disposal. This position plays a critical role in ensuring both safety and regulatory compliance, while helping our customers manage their waste streams efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform onsite inventories and evaluations of hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste.
Accurately identify and classify a wide variety of laboratory and industrial chemicals.
Conduct field sampling and basic analytical testing to assess unknown materials.
Package chemicals safely and efficiently for transport under DOT regulations.
Prepare detailed documentation including manifests, labels, and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
Ensure all work complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (EPA, DOT, OSHA).
Coordinate with customers, internal teams, and disposal vendors to execute projects smoothly.
Optimize each project for safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
2-5 years of experience in hazardous waste handling, lab packing, or environmental fieldwork.
Solid working knowledge of DOT and EPA hazardous waste regulations.
Experience with waste characterization, material sampling, and regulatory paperwork.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple s simultaneously.
40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred; training available if needed).
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally within MA, RI, NH, and CT.
