Avantor , a Global Fortune 500 company, is looking for a dedicated Research Scientist - Analytical R&D to optimize our Biopharma Production organization.
This Bridgewater, NJ/ Innovation Center role is full-time, on-site.
What we are looking for
Minimum Education Requirement:
- Masters degree; PhD highly preferred (in a scientific discipline)
Travel:
Up to 5%
Required Experience (3+ yrs):
- Bioanalytical and/ or biochemistry.
- In a research environment.
- Proficient in designing and conducting hands-on analytical testing needed for product characterization, process optimization and product commercialization (including proteins, RNA and polymers).
- Regulatory agency requirements (IE: cGMP, Compendia, FDA and/ or ICH).
- Participating in regular project check-in meetings.
- Adjusting plan/activities based on feedback to meet project deadlines.
- Complying with all safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures.
- Utilizing analytical techniques to characterize and test inorganic, organic and polymeric materials (IE: HPLC/UPLC, GC-FID, GC-MS).
- Proficient in executing wet chemistry analytical techniques.
Preferred Experience:
- Researching, developing, validating, and transferring analytical methods to internal and external QC laboratories for cGMP/Compendia finished goods release testing and stability studies/shelf-life determination.
- Industrial hands-on experience performing analytical method development, product/process development/characterization and technical problem-solving activities.
- Preparing reports, publications and/or oral presentations to advance projects or resolve process/product issues and customer complaints.
- Collaboration skills (IE: Microsoft Office) with the ability to learn new systems (IE: Salesforce.com).
- Software such as Empower, MassLynx, ChemStation, OpenLab and Mass Hunter.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$85,000.00 - $141,600.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
