- Resolve technical and analytical problems associated with daily operations in the analytical laboratory.
- Develop priority assignments to ensure timely release of components and finished products.
- Perform wet chemical and instrumental analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, product development samples, finished products, customer samples, and components.
- Review and approve data, interpreting results before reporting to Quality Assurance.
- Maintain laboratory notebooks and other documentation.
- Assist the Lead Chemist in maintaining inventory of chemicals and laboratory supplies as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field, or 3+ years of experience as a Chemist.
- Routine laboratory and analytical operations experience.
- Experience in GC and HPLC analysis of chemicals and/or pharmaceuticals.
- Understanding of GMP and quality control standards.
- Knowledge of algebraic calculations and conversion of chemical formulas.
- Understanding of weights and measurements according to analytical procedures.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
This position is within a small team and laboratory, offering a close-knit company feel while providing benefits associated with a larger organization. You will report to the lead chemist, with flexible working hours between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM, totaling 8.5 hours a day including a lunch break.
