Our Echo Software team works on not only the Echo Show but other high-profile consumer electronics products including Fire TV and the Echo family of devices. As a software engineer in the Alexa Endpoint Experiences team, you will help drive innovation by developing features that present innovative speech-backed visuals on our Echo Show, Echo Spot, and similar screened Alexa devices.
Specifically, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Multimedia experiences, partnering with other Amazon and third-party services and device teams as required. You will ensure that Alexa almost never drops her end of the conversation, delivering services that respond with minimal latency at Amazon scale. Key job responsibilities
1. Own the high level design and development for Multimedia experiences for Echo family of Devices (including new Device launches) with Alexa
2. Deliver high quality software through working in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment.
3. Mentor and train young engineers in the team to build quality software
4. Collaborate with UX and Product owners to define customer experience and product direction.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
