Job Description

As an Engineer/Scientist I, QC at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. you have the unique opportunity to be part of a work class team that is committed to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our MAS products through detailed testing and analysis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional testing of intermediate and finished goods kits according to approved SOPs
  • Document accurate test results using Excel spreadsheets and workbooks
  • Maintain lot histories and evaluate test data for trends and discrepancies
  • Independently revise and update SOPs and/or worksheets
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing the QC Laboratory space.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum BA/BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Bioscience or equivalent with 0 - 2 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience, preferably in the medical diagnostics industry
  • Strong laboratory skills, including pipetting, safety, and hazardous chemical handling
  • Understanding of cGMP and its application in the work environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Clear and concise documentation skills
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Strong multitasking abilities and ability to work independently

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $60,000.00$75,000.00.
