The position oversees all operations of the institutional Transgenic Core Facility, providing essential expertise and services for the creation, maintenance, and characterization of transgenic and gene-edited animal models, primarily mice. This role involves advanced technical execution of procedures such as pronuclear microinjection, CRISPR-mediated gene editing, embryo transfer, and cryopreservation. The position trains staff and consults with researchers, ensures compliance with all animal welfare regulations, and maintains high standards of genetic integrity and animal health within the core, directly enabling cutting-edge research. Technical skills and competencies to conduct quantifiable, meaningful research.
