Job Description
The Laboratory of Cancer Immunology in the Department of Biological Sciences is seeking a skilled and motivated Biology Laboratory Manager to support research efforts aimed at improving the understanding and treatment of cancer.
This role is ideal for a candidate with strong technical expertise in biological sciences and an interest in contributing to impactful cancer research through both benchwork and lab management.
Key Responsibilities:
Research Support
Conduct experiments using a range of techniques including PCR, gel electrophoresis, cell culture, immunology assays, animal models, and clinical sample testing.
Collaborate closely with other researchers on ongoing projects, contributing to data analysis and experimental design.
Support the preparation of research materials for publications and co-author scholarly articles.
**Lab Operations & Administration **
Order, track, and manage research supplies and reagents.
Communicate with vendors and maintain inventory records.
Ensure adherence to lab safety guidelines and institutional protocols, including animal care and use.
Assist in preparing and updating required documentation for compliance.
Help organize lab events and team-building activities to support a positive and collaborative lab culture.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
3-4 years of experience working in a biology or biomedical research laboratory.
Proficiency in core laboratory techniques including PCR, electrophoresis, cell culture, and immunoassays.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of cancer biology and laboratory best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in cancer immunology research.
Familiarity with animal handling protocols and clinical sample testing.
Experience with laboratory compliance systems and managing lab safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
