Description Your Responsibilities

• Scrutinize results for accuracy, address any discrepancies, and perform maintenance as well as calibration on laboratory instruments.
• Facilitate specimen collection and prepare samples for subsequent testing, as required.
• Document all procedures meticulously, assist in training new employees or students, and help maintain the lab's quality assurance standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education Requirements

• A Bachelors degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a similar allied health qualification, with preparation for ASCP or AMT certification.

Certifications Required

• Completion of ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must occur within one year of employment.
• It is essential to maintain your current certification for the duration of your employment.
