Software Development Engineer Our client is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, implement, and maintain complex application software that supports business strategies and operational objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality coding practices, and contributing to innovative solutions that improve processes and system performance. This role is fully remote. Software Development Engineer Responsibilities Design, code, document, and test complex software applications in alignment with established development standards. Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing applications to ensure continued alignment with user and business needs. Collaborate with business analysts to understand system requirements, analyze data, and create detailed design documents. Plan and manage assigned development tasks, providing timely updates on progress and potential risks. Independently deliver assigned work within agreed timelines while adhering to best practices for testing and quality assurance. Software Development Engineer Qualifications Proven experience developing software applications and APIs using Visual Studio, .NET Framework 4.6.1, .NET 8, and Entity Framework. Skilled in writing testable code, unit testing, and integration testing. Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps Services and GIT, including branching, merging, and version control. Experience with YAML-based build and release pipelines. Hands-on experience migrating APIs from .NET Framework 4 to .NET 8, with exposure to Open Telemetry in .NET applications. Familiarity with Oracle as a database repository. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complexity and adopt emerging technologies.
